1. Jadaveon Clowney - DE - S. Carolina

While the Texans will get some phone calls for this pick, in the end I think they stay put and take Clowney here. It'll be interesting to see how he fits in a 3-4 defense, but he's too athletic to not try to make it work.
Picture

2. Greg RoBinson - T - Auburn

The Rams take Robinson here and are hoping for Orlando Pace 2.0. When a guy is 6'5" and 330 pounds and runs a 4.8 or 4.9 40-yard dash that's hard to pass up. I don't think he's going to be great long-term, but that's just me.
Picture

3. KAHLIL MACK - LB - BUFFALO

Mack could end up going #1 overall, but he ends up at #3 to the Jags who have been desperate for help on defense for years. Outside of the 13 Jaguars fans out there, how many people could name ONE player on Jacksonville's defense in 2013? Exactly!
Picture

4. Mike Evans - WR - Texas A&M

I almost put Johnny Manziel here for the Browns, but I just can't see Farmer taking a QB this high and having him start the season on the bench behind Brian Hoyer. Also, the first surprise of the draft, the Browns take Evans over Watkins and fans everywhere are surprised. As someone was saying last week, think of the top WR's in the NFL right now...Calvin Johnson, Josh Gordon, Dez Bryant, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, AJ Green. All over 6'4" which is why the Browns go with Evans over Watkins.
Picture

5. Sammy Watkins - WR - Clemson

TRADE (OAK) - The Raiders are tempted to take Watkins here, but the Bills come forward with a BIG offer to trade up and get a playmaker for their pedestrian offense. The Raiders have a ton of holes and can use the extra picks.
Picture

6. Jake Matthews - T - Texas A&M

I think Matthews ends up being the best tackle in this draft. This isn't an exciting pick for Falcons fans, but it's a great pick to solidify their O-Line. Wouldn't be surprised to see Eric Ebron here either as a bit of a surprise.
Picture

7. Taylor LEwan - T - Michigan

The run on tackles has begun and it's going to continue. The Bucs lost Donald Penn in free agency and have nothing on their O-Line other than Carl Nicks.
Picture

8.  Blake Bortles - QB - UCF

After much debate, I put the first QB in the draft here at #8 to the Vikings. I almost went with CB Kyle Fuller here, because that's a huge need for the Vikings and they have a new defensive-minded Head Coach in Mike Zimmer, but they take a QB to groom this year behind Matt Cassel.
Picture

9. Johnny Manziel - QB - Texas A&M

TRADE (BUF) - I almost had Johnny Football sliding all the way to #24 to Cincinnati, yes, Cincinnati, but I think he's too good for the Raiders to pass up here. With the extra picks they got in their trade they can afford a slight gamble here and let Johnny sit to start the season behind Matt Schaub.
Picture

10. ZacK Martin - T - Notre Dame

There are a number of decent tackles in this draft, but there's a pretty decent drop off between Martin and the next tier of guys. The early run on tackles ends here, as the Lions look to replace Jeff Backus who was a staple in Detroit for year.
Picture

11. Aaron Donald - DT - Pittsburgh

TRADE (TEN) - The Bears need a DT badly and since the Giants have a history of drafting D-linemen, the Bears move up in front of the Giants to get their top DT on the board.
Picture

12. Eric Ebron - TE - North Carolina

After cursing the Bears for trading in front of them for Donald, the Gians are on the clock. Eli Manning hasn't had a dynamic tight end since......Jeremy Shockey? That's right. So the Giants take Ebron here in the hopes that Eli can use him for outlet passes this year instead of the opposing team!
Picture

13. Justin Gilbert - CB - OkLA. State

The Rams have Janoris Jenkins at one CB spot and no one at the opposite one. To keep up with the Seahawks, 49ers and Cardinals they need two legit CBs and Gilbert helps accomplish that goal.
Picture

14. Kyle Fuller - CB - Virginia Tech

TRADE (CHI) - The Titans moved back a couple slots and still get the player they were targeting at #11 in the top CB, Kyle Fuller. I really like Fuller because he's the one CB I've seen who isn't afraid to come up and make a tackle.
Picture

15. C.J. Mosley - LB - Alabama

Here the Steelers are torn between OT Morgan Moses (who would be the 5th Tackle taken) or their top MLB, Mosley. They love LB's and go with Mosley here. I've said it before, Mosley doesn't wow me but there has to be something I'm missing because he's going to be a first-round pick.
Picture

16. Anthony Barr - LB - UCLA

With the departure of Demarcus Ware this off-season the Cowboys will be looking to find someone to pressure opposing QB's. They take their man in Barr here who has a high ceiling, but not a ton of experience at LB.
Picture

17. Ryan Shazier - LB - ohio State

The Ravens always go best player available and right now they believe it's Ohio State LB Ryan Shazier. I think he's going to go higher than most people predict as he's athletic and was very productive at Ohio State.
Picture

18. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - S - Alabama

The top FS on the board is Clinton-Dix and he can come in and play right away for the J-E-T-S. Rex Ryan needs playmakers on defense and he's hoping Clinton-Dix can be one of those guys.
Picture

19. David Carr - QB - Fresno State

TRADE (MIA) - The Browns give up one of their third round picks to move up ahead of Arizona to get the QB of their choice which I think is Carr. The Browns have had so much success with their last two QBs they took toward the end of the first round (Weeden & Quinn) they feel like the third time's a charm. I disagree. My opinion is if they don't take Johnny Football at #4 or here, they should wait until the 2nd round so there isn't the pressure of being a "first round quarterback".
Picture

20. Teddy Bridgewater - QB - Louisville

The Cardinals won 10 games last year with Carson Palmer at the helm and their roster is fairly solid. Here they can take their QB of the future in Bridgewater who can watch and learn behind Palmer.
Picture

21. Brandin Cooks - WR - Oregon St.

Cooks caught a ton of passes in college and is a huge run-after-the-catch guy which makes him a great fit in Green Bay where they need to replace the loss of another receiver in James Jones. He's a different kind of player, but a perfect fit for Rodgers.
Picture

22. Odell Beckham Jr. - WR - LSU

Many think the Eagles want Cooks, but with him off the board they take a similar player in Odell Beckham. He'll be another weapon for Nick Foles and the Eagles offense.
Picture

23. Darqueze Denard - CB - Mich. St.

TRADE (KC) - This is a bit of a fall for Denard, but he's a little undersized for a CB so he slides a little. The Chargers are happy he falls to them here and he gets pick right before the Bengals who desperately need another CB and love Big Ten players.
Picture

24. DEE FORD - DE/OLB - AUBURN

The Bengals need help at one DE position and on of their OLB spots and they take Ford here knowing he'll be a fit at one of those spots and help get pressure on opposing QB's.
Picture

25. Morgan Moses - T - Virginia

TRADE (SD) - Moses can come in and fill the void left by Brandon Albert and play RT opposite last year's first round pick Eric Fisher.
Picture

26. Cyrus Kouandijo - T - Alabama

TRADE (CLE) - The Dolphins O-Line was a trainwreck in 2013 and they begin the rebuilding process here with a HUGE T who should be able to start right away.
Picture

27. Louis Nix III - DT - Notre Dame

The Saints need more beef up front for their 3-4 D so they take the massive Nix here who can play NT or DE in their 3-4 scheme.
Picture

28. Marqise Lee - WR - USC

The Panthers are desperate for WR help and they take the top WR on their board with Marqise Lee. He can come in and probably start from the get-go and help Cam Newton and the Panthers offense.
Picture

29. Jimmy Garoppolo - QB - E. Illinois

TRADE (NE) - I had a trade here last time with the Jags and Patriots and I'm doing it again, but for a different QB this time. The Jags feel like they need to get in front of the Texans for the QB of the future, so they trade up here in a surprise to take small-school star Jimmy Garoppolo.
Picture

30. JORDAN MATTHEWS - WR - Vanderbilt

The 49ers don't have any depth at WR and in today's NFL you need at least four decent WR's. The Niners hope Matthews can come in and be a solid #3 for a year or so and develop into a #1 or #2.
Picture

31. Bradley Roby - CB - Ohio State

No change here either...even with Roby's run-in with the law I think he still sneaks in to the bottom of the first round. I'm not a huge fan myself, but he's big and athletic which are qualities needed in CB's these days.
Picture

32. Ra'Shede Hageman - Dt - Minnesota

The Seahawks are solid everywhere, as evidenced by their new jewelry, but could use some help and depth on their D-Line. They can afford to take Hagemen who is known to take plays off as Pete Carroll is a master-motivator who can get the most out of him in Seattle.
