Picture

Andrew Luck - QB - Stanford

With the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Indianapolis Colts select...Andrew Luck.
Picture

Robert Griffin III - QB - Baylor

No chance this pick isn't Griffin unless he goes to Indy at #1.
Picture

Matt Kalil - LT - USC

Teams with a gaping hole at LT rarely pass up on the chance to take a prototype LT like Kalil. Minnesota won't either.
Picture

Trent Richardson - RB - Alabama

Remember how different the Browns looked last year the few games when Peyton Hillis looked like the Hillis from 2010? The Browns need a legit RB in order to open up the passing game. Many folks think this may be Tannehill, but if he's the pick you'll hear a collective BOO nationwide from Browns fans.
Picture

Morris Claiborne - CB - LSU

99% of folks think this will be Claiborne. I had a hard time putting him here and almost went extreme and put Boston College LB Luke Kuechly. I don't think Claiborne is the next Darrell Revis and think he's slightly overrated.
Picture

Justin Blackmon - WR - Oklahoma St.

Sam Bradford has probably been begging his new GM and head coach for a WR and he'll likely get his wish. Don't be surprised if Michael Floyd jumps Blackmon between now and the draft...he's taller, faster and may have more upside.
Picture

Riley Reiff - T - Iowa

If the Jags are going to roll with Blaine Gabbert they need to keep him upright so Reiff ends up as the pick here. Reiff had really short arms at the combine (like former Iowa "can't miss" tackle Robert Gallery) and that's why I think he flops at LT, and ends up at Guard.
Picture

Ryan Tannehill - QB - Texas A&M

Same pick here...the Dolphins struck out like Dave Kingman in their pursuit of a QB in free agency, but they take Tannehill here to reunite him with his college coach, Mike Sherman, from Texas A&M. Remember the THIRD QB taken in the 2004 draft? Ben Roethlisberger. I don't think he's Big Ben but he has potential.
Picture

Michael Floyd - WR - Notre Dame

I've had Floyd as a top-ten pick for a month and now everyone else is on the bandwagon. He's taller and faster than Blackmon but played on a very balanced offense at ND so he didn't have the big numbers. I think Floyd may end up being a better pro than Blackmon.
Picture

Luke Kuechly - LB - Boston College

Kuechly is a safe pick for the Bills and he'll be another upgrade on defense with new DE Mario Williams. I think if Floyd happens to fall here he may be the pick but in this scenario that's not the case.
Picture

Melvin Ingram - DE/LB - South Carolina

Ingram doesn't quite have a position in the NFL as he's a little small to be a DE and a little big to be a LB. The Chiefs roll the dice and just hope he's a football player like Von Miller was for the Broncos.
Picture

Fletcher Cox - DT - Mississippi State

Cox can play both DT or DE and his versatility and motor make him a first round pick. The Seahawks need help on the D-line and Cox is their answer.
Picture

Dont'a Hightower - LB - Alabama

None of the experts will put Hightower here, but he's the best MLB left on the board. Most will think this is "too high" but what does that actually mean? If he's projected to be picked around #25 and be a good player, why can't he be picked at #13 and be a good player?
Picture

Mark Barron - S - Alabama

I predicted the 'Boys would get a corner in free agency and they did. Now they try to fill another need and take the best Safety in the draft.
Picture

Dontari Poe - DT - Memphis

Poe is this year's version of Phil Taylor whom the Browns picked in the middle of the first round. He dominated the Senior Bowl, had an outstanding combine and is a bit of an underachiever. With the Eagles playing their wide-nine DE's they need space-eaters inside and Poe fits the bill.
Picture

David DeCastro - G - Stanford

DeCastro is the best player on the board and the Jets O-line is old and wasn't very good last season. They need to protect Sanchez (or Tebow) and block the run better and DeCastro can help in those areas immediately.
Picture

Stephen Hill - WR - Georgia Tech

The Bengals hit a home run with A.J. Green last season and this year they take another WR to pair with him on the other side of the field in Stephen Hill. He's big and fast and will help eliminate double teams for Green.
Picture

Dre Kirkpatrick - CB - Alabama

I wouldn't be surprised if Kirkpatrick goes as high as #7 to Jacksonville or as low as the late 20's. As an outsider it's hard to tell how bad his off-field issues may be, but if he drops this far that'll likely be why.
Picture

Jerel Worthy - DL - Michigan St.

Suprise here too. Worthy dominated his pro day and has a huge upside. He showed flashes of brilliance at Michigan State and he'll plug in as a starter at DT for the Bears next to Julius Peppers.
Picture

Stephon Gilmore - CB - S. Carolina

This is a tough call for the Titans as they need a WR badly too. Gilmore is a much safer pick than Kirkpatrick and is taken to replace Cortland Finnegan.
Picture

Harrison Smith - S - Notre Dame

Same Pick - Two Notre Dame players in the first round!? Yep, barely, but it's true. Smith looked much more fluid and athletic than the other safeties at the combine and has production in college to back it up.
Picture

Quinton Coples - DE - North Carolina

Big, strong, fast, looks like a beast...but plays like a girl. He could go in the top seven or eight picks but I think he drops the most on draft day. He has too much talent for the Browns to pass up here as they need a DE opposite Jabaal Sheard.
Picture

Jonathan Martin - T - Stanford

Same pick here. Some people feel Martin is a top ten pick...not in my world. Is he solid, yes, but I think this is about right for him and I almost penciled him in for the Browns one pick earlier to play RT.
Picture

Courtney Upshaw - DE/LB - Alabama

The Steelers look for tough guys and find one here. I can honestly see Upshaw as an inside 3-4 LB or situational pass-rusher off the edge on third downs.
Picture

Michael Brockers - DT - LSU

Brockers didn't rush the passer much at LSU, but was a beast against the run. That's where the Peyton Manning's need help so he fills that need for the Broncos.
Picture

Kendall Wright - WR - Baylor

My surprise pick here would be Alameda Ta'amu the NT from Washington, but Wright makes the offense much more dynamic immediately.
Picture

Chandler Jones - DE/OLB - Syracuse

Jones is athletic and can either play DE or move to OLB for the Patriots depending on which defense they want to run.
Picture

Doug Martin - RB - Boise State

I love this guy. Martin may not have eye-popping measurables but he is quick, cuts on a dime and finishes his runs with authority. The Packers had no run game last season, and didn't need it much, but Martin will help in that department for 2012.
Picture

Cordy Glenn - T - Georgia

A lot of people think Glenn will play guard in the NFL but he is huge, has long arms, moves well and played tackle very well at Georgia. He can start at RT or G and the Ravens will like that versatility.
Picture

Alshon Jeffery - WR - South Carolina

Last year, according to draft experts at the time, the 49ers "reached" and took Aldon Smith "too early". How did that turn out? This year they do the same and take Jeffery who if he can lay off the doughnuts can be the deep threat the Niners need.
Picture

Alameda Ta'amu - DT - Washington

This is my other big first round curveball. Ta'amu is a huge nose tackle prospect with a high motor and another guy who dominated the Senior Bowl. He's a big DT and can play nose or inside in a 4-3.
Picture

David Wilson - RB - Virginia Tech

Wilson will be the best player on the board for the Giants and can help fill a hole in the running game left by Brandon Jacobs' departure.
