Picture

Cam Newton - QB - Auburn

I've had Cam Newton here longer than any other Mock Draft I've read and am sticking to my guns. Personally, I think he's going to be somewhere in between JaMarcus Russell and Vince Young when it comes to NFL production.
Picture

Marcell Dareus - DT/DE - Alabama

No change here...personally I still like Fairley better than Dareus, but I'm not turning in the draft cards. Dareus next to Elvis Dumerville will be a nice combo for the Ponies.
Picture

Von Miller - LB - Texas A&M

Still no changes for me...Miller may be the best defender in the draft when it's all said and done. I never understand why LB's don't get drafted this high, but he's a sack machine and will make an impact for the Bills. They'll look QB in Round 2 or possibly trade back into the end of Round 1.
Picture

Blaine Gabbert  - QB - Missouri

I think if Free Agency would happen before the draft I could see Vince Young ending up in Cincy. Since that's highly unlikely, they'll go with, in my opinion, Brady Quinn Jr. and take Blaine Gabbert here.
Picture

Patrick Peterson - CB - LSU

I promises there will be changes here but not yet. The guys in Arizona's war room just punched a hole in the wall as they really wanted Gabbert. Look for them to improve their defense with this pick and Peterson will immediately do so.
Picture

Julio Jones - WR - Oklahoma

My first big shakeup at the top of the draft...I'm really torn here between Jones, AJ Green and Robert Quinn. I think there is more depth at DL in the draft so they go for the #1 receiver they've been missing for year and Big 12 enemies Colt McCoy and Julio Jones look to be a great combo for the Brownies.
Picture

Nick Fairley - DT - Auburn

I still believe Fairley is the best DL in the draft but he goes to the 49ers at #7. Jim Harbaugh is an offensive coach, but he can't pass up one of the best defenders in the draft when Fairley falls into their laps here.
Picture

Robert Quinn - DE - North Carolina

I had Bowers here previously but it seems like his injured knee is going to kill his draft status. Quinn also had a great pro day at North Carolina which made him lots of money this year!
Picture

Tyron Smith - OT - USC

The Cowboys take a slight leap here and take Smith at #9. He played RT at USC and he can play there for a season in Dallas and then maybe eventually slide over to LT similar to Michael Oher in Baltimore.
Picture

Mark Ingram - RB - Alabama

I know what you're thinking...Mike Shanahan doesn't take RB's in the first round. Well, I don't think they can afford to pass up Ingram who may remind Shanny of some guy named Terrell Davis. If you could take TD with the #10 overall pick would you do it??? I think the 'Skins do.
Picture

Prince Amukamara - CB - Nebraska

Amukamra, in my opinion, will be a serviceable but not great CB in the NFL, but most teams view him as the #2 CB in the draft. The Texans can't go anything but DB here as they were TURRIBLE in 2010.
Picture

A.J. Green - WR - Georgia

Green slides slightly in my latest mock only due to teams having much greater needs than WR. The Vikings look like they may lose Sidney Rice to free agency and if so, they'll need his replacement and AJ Green can step right in. They still have no QB...maybe in Round 2.
Picture

Anthony Castonzo - OT -  BC

Castonzo is a solid all-around tackle who'll start on Opening Day for the Lions and hopefully bring some stability to the O-Line which hasn't been able to keep Stafford upright. Castonzo is smart and tough...attributes Head Coach Jim Swartz is going to love.
Picture

Aldon Smith - DE/OLB - Missouri

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone trade up to this spot ahead of Miami to take Mark Ingram. Here, the Rams go with best player on their board and take Aldon Smith who will fit nicely next to James Laurinaitis.
Picture

Gabe Carimi - OT - Wisconsin

Carimi looks like a steady RT candidate for the NFL and he'll help the Dolphins running game at either RT or Guard. Everyone in the world has Miami taking Ingram and I really see them going that route in Round 2 or 3.
Picture

Da'Quan Bowers - DE - Clemson

Bowers had top 5 talent but is the biggest faller in Round 1 due to a sub-par pro day and major injury concerns about his knee. The Jags take the risk hoping for a big reward.
Picture

J.J. Watt - DE - Wisconsin

Watt is a big, strong, 110% effort guy from Wisconsin who Bill Belichick is going to love for his versatility along the D-line.
Picture

Phil Taylor - DT - Baylor

Taylor is a run-stuffing NT who will fit in perfectly with the Chargers 3-4 defense. He's an immediate upgrade for the Bolts' defense.
Picture

Kyle Rudolph - TE - Notre Dame

I think Rudolph is going to rise up draft boards as the draft nears. He has good hands and can hold his own blocking with his huge frame. Kevin Boss has never filled the hole left by Jeremy Shockey and this will give interception machine Eli Manning a reliable dump down option like his brother Peyton has with Dallas Clark.
Picture

Cameron Jordan - DE - Cal

The Bucs made huge strides in 2010 even if it was beating up on sub-.500 teams. They tried addressing the D-line in the 2010 draft and will go back to the well again in 2011 looking for a pass rusher to play next to Gerald McCoy.
Picture

Akeem Ayers - LB - UCLA

I'm moving Ayers into Round 1 more due to the lack of impact LB's in this year than the fact that I think he's worth the pick. The Chiefs LB's are old and mediocre so they look for an upgrade here.
Picture

Nate Solder - OT - Colorado

I still have Solder as my top tackle for long-term potential in the draft. A ginormous human being with good feet is a good combination for a LT. He's a good pass-blocker who'll fit nicely with the Colts.
Picture

Aaron Williams - CB - Texas

There is talk that Williams may look and play more like a Safety than a Corner. The Eagles need help at both spots in their secondary so they go with Williams here hoping he can help and one of those spots.
Picture

Adrian Clayborn - DE - Iowa

Clayborn got double teamed a lot at Iowa so his numbers weren't impressive this year but he'll be solid in the NFL with the right defense.
Picture

Brandon Harris - CB - Miami

Harris looked fluid at the combine and in the highlights I've seen of him and, in my opinion, is the #2 CB behind Peterson. The Ravens couldn't cover the Browns' receivers in 2010 and that should tell you that they need help in the secondary.
Picture

Marvin Austin - DT - North Carolina

Big, athletic and mean. No I'm not talking about my 4-year old son, but Marvin Austin was a beast at his pro day and may have jumped up into Round 1 ahead of a couple other DT prospects in this draft.
Picture

Cameron Heyward - DE - Ohio State

Some project Heyward as a 3-4 DE but I think he's quick enough to play LE in a 4-3 front and will learn a thing or two from John Abraham in Atlanta.
Picture

Justin Houston - LB - Georgia

The Pats have been trying to get younger at LB for a couple of years but still have some needs. They have 100 picks in this draft so they go LB here and look for OL help at the top of Round 2.
Picture

Corey Liuget - DT - Illinois

Da Bears released DT Tommie Harris this off-season and need to fill that hold. Liuget is the best DL on the board here and is the pick for the Bears. He'll make a short trip from Champagne to Chicago and be a solid contributor.
Picture

Muhammed Wilkerson - DT - Temple

I don't watch too many Temple Owls football games, but I did see Wilkerson at the combine and he looked very agile and quick for a LARGE man. He's a versatile DL and can play anywhere on the line in a 3-4 defense.
Picture

Jimmy Smith - CB - Colorado

Steelers fans will pitch a fit here is Mike Pouncey is on the board and he's not the pick. However, Smith is a really good CB. The Steelers are a solid organization so they'll straighten out whatever issues he may have and he'll be an instant upgrade at CB which was the Steelers biggest weakness in 2010.
Picture

Mike Pouncey - C/G - Florida

Pouncey is versatile enough to play C, G or even RT. The Packers love versatility and need help at all of those spots on the line so that's why Pouncey is the pick here.
