Andrew Luck - QB - Stanford

With the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Indianapolis Colts select...Andrew Luck.
Picture

Robert Griffin III - QB - Baylor

No chance this pick isn't Griffin unless he goes to Indy at #1.
Picture

Matt Kalil - LT - USC

I think Kalil ends up being the pick unless Tampa trades up to get Richardson before the Browns take him at #4. The Vikings would LOVE to move down to #5 or so but I don't see if happening...if Tampa moves up I'd guess they give up their first and third round picks to move up.
Picture

Trent Richardson - RB - Alabama

No changes here - the Browns need a legit RB in order to open up the passing game. Many folks think this may be Tannehill, but if he's the pick you'll hear a collective BOO nationwide from Browns fans. If Tampa moves up I see the Browns trying to find a taker for Matt Kalil. If that doesn't happen - Blackmon would be the pick.
Picture

Morris Claiborne - CB - LSU

99% of folks think this will be Claiborne. I had a hard time putting him here and almost went extreme and put Boston College LB Luke Kuechly or Safety Mark Barron. I don't think Claiborne is the next Darrell Revis and think he's slightly overrated.
Picture

Justin Blackmon - WR - Oklahoma St.

Sam Bradford has probably been begging his new GM and head coach for a WR and he'll likely get his wish. Don't be surprised if Michael Floyd jumps Blackmon between now and the draft...he's taller, faster and may have more upside. If Blackmon is gone I think it's Fletcher Cox or Michael Floyd.
Picture

Mark Barron - S - Alabama

Big jump for Mark Barron here - I had Riley Reiff here for a while but I think the Jags go defense and take the best DB remaining.
Picture

Michael Floyd - WR - Notre Dame

SHOCKER...No Tannehill this time. I've had Floyd as a top-ten pick for a month and now everyone else is on the bandwagon. He's taller and faster than Blackmon but played on a very balanced offense at ND so he didn't have the big numbers. I think Floyd may end up being a better pro than Blackmon.
Picture

Fletcher Cox - DT - Mississippi State

Cox can play both DT or DE and his versatility and motor make him a first round pick. He's the most consistent DT in the draft and he ends up a top-10 pick and gets to join Mr. Cam Newton to try to turn around the Panthers.
Picture

Riley Reiff - T - Iowa

Even Bills fans probably couldn't name their starting two tackles going into the draft. They get one here in Reiff who's a safe pick and can shore up a big need for the Bills.
Picture

Ryan Tannehill - QB - Texas A&M

The Dolphins passing on Tannehill raises a big red flag to me but not for the Chiefs. He can sit on the bench for a year behind Matt Cassel and take over in 2013.
PS - Remember the THIRD QB taken in the 2004 draft? Ben Roethlisberger. I don't think he's Big Ben but he has potential.
Picture

Chandler Jones - DE/OLB - Syracuse

Jones is athletic can get to the QB. Pete Carroll can develop him in Seattle and he'll make the defense better instantly by getting pressure on the QB...something the Seahawks lacked in 2011.
Picture

Luke Kuechly - LB - Boston College

Kuechly is a safe pick and can be a leader on the Cardinals defense. He'll plug in as an ILB in their 3-4 defense and be a three-down LB for the Cards.
Picture

David DeCastro - G - Stanford

DeCastro is the best player on the board and while Jerruh Jones likes making a splash in the draft...they have a HUGE need on the O-line and can't pass up DeCastro here.
Picture

Dontari Poe - DT - Memphis

Poe is this year's version of Phil Taylor whom the Browns picked in the middle of the first round. He dominated the Senior Bowl, had an outstanding combine and is a bit of an underachiever. With the Eagles playing their wide-nine DE's they need space-eaters inside and Poe fits the bill.
Picture

Michael Brockers - DT - LSU

Brockers didn't rush the passer much at LSU, but was a beast against the run. He can play DE in the Jets' 3-4 defense and make a big impact for the Jets.
Picture

Stephon Gilmore - CB - S. Carolina

The Bengals don't have a ton of gaping holes but they'll take Gilmore here after some people thought he would go as high as #7 or #9. Solid pick for the Bungles.
Picture

Melvin Ingram - DE/LB - South Carolina

Ingram doesn't quite have a position in the NFL as he's a little small to be a DE and a little big to be a LB. The Chargers will find a spot for him kind of like Denver did with Von Miller last season. Personally - Ingram is one of my favorites in the draft.
Picture

Quinton Coples - DE - North Carolina

The Bears take the risk on Coples here after some pundits pegged him as a top-10 pick. I think he'll end up as a DT eventually (where he had the most success in college) but the Bears will try him across from Julius Peppers initially.
Picture

Dont'a Hightower - LB - Alabama

None of the experts will put Hightower here, but he's the best MLB left on the board. The Titans have several needs, WR and CB included, but Hightower can become the leader on the defense for the Titans at MLB. If not Hightower, I think the pick is Kendall Wright.
Picture

Kendall Reyes - DT - UConn

Reyes had a very good Senior Bowl and the Bengals have a habit of taking guys who played in the Senior Bowl and stood out above the competition. Reyes is this year's guy for the Bengals. I thought about Jerel Worthy from Michigan State, but went with Reyes.
Picture

Stephen Hill - WR - Georgia Tech

The Browns need a potential #1 receiver. Many people have Kendall Wright from Baylor penciled in here but he'll never be a stereotypical #1 WR but Hill has the size, speed and potential to be that guy which puts him over the top.
Picture

Dre Kirkpatrick - CB - Alabama

I wouldn't be surprised if Kirkpatrick goes as high as #7 to Jacksonville or as low as the late 20's. As an outsider it's hard to tell how bad his off-field issues may be, but if he drops this far that'll likely be why. The Lions may be scared off due to their picks from 2011 getting into trouble, but his talent wins out.
Picture

Courtney Upshaw - DE/LB - Alabama

The Steelers look for tough guys and find one here. I can honestly see Upshaw as an inside 3-4 LB like Levon Kirkland back in the day or situational pass-rusher off the edge on third downs.
Picture

Jerel Worthy - DL - Michigan St.

Worthy dominated his pro day and has a huge upside. He showed flashes of brilliance at Michigan State and he'll plug in as a starter at DT for the Broncos and help their pass rush up the middle.
Picture

Kendall Wright - WR - Baylor

My surprise pick here would be Alameda Ta'amu the NT from Washington, but Wright makes the offense much more dynamic immediately.
Picture

Harrison Smith - S - Notre Dame

Two Notre Dame players in the first round!? Yep, barely, but it's true. Smith looked much more fluid and athletic than the other safeties at the combine and has production in college to back it up. He's a huge upgrade in the terrible secondary of the Patriots.
Picture

Doug Martin - RB - Boise State

I love this guy. Martin may not have eye-popping measurables but he is quick, cuts on a dime and finishes his runs with authority. The Packers had no run game last season, and didn't need it much, but Martin will help in that department for 2012.
Picture

Shea McClellin - LB - Boise St.

Scouts love McClellin as he can play all over the field. The Ravens have a knack for taking solid football players and finding a spot for them.
Picture

Janoris Jenkins - CB - N. Alabama

If there's a coach who can handle Jenkins I think it may be Jim Harbaugh. California may not be a good spot for Jenkins and he affinity for women and drugs, but his talent is top-notch so he sneaks into the first round here.
Picture

Alameda Ta'amu - DT - Washington

This is my other big first round curveball. Ta'amu is a huge nose tackle prospect with a high motor and another guy who dominated the Senior Bowl. He's a big DT and can play nose or inside in a 4-3.
Picture

David Wilson - RB - Virginia Tech

Wilson will be the best player on the board for the Giants and can help fill a hole in the running game left by Brandon Jacobs' departure.
