Picture

Cam Newton - QB - Auburn

Don't like him, but I'm not making the pick. If nothing else, he'll sell some jerseys and tickets for the Panthers who could use the attention.
Picture

Marcell Dareus - DT/DE - Alabama

Dareus next to Elvis Dumerville will be a nice combo for the Broncos...I'm still torn here between Dareus and Peterson, but they opt for need over best available.
Picture

Blaine Gabbert  - QB - Missouri

Chan Gailey loves coaching QB's and now he has his own QB and job security for a year or two so he can try to develop Gabbert. Many have him falling to the middle or bottom of the top 10, but I see him becoming a Buffalo Bill.
Picture

Patrick Peterson - CB - LSU

The Bengals have bigger needs than CB, but with no QB on the board they go with Peterson. Nine out of ten mock drafts have them going with A.J. Green but they actually have some good, young depth at WR even without T.O. and a potential departure of Ochocinco.
Picture

Von Miller - LB - Texas A&M

Miller will be a nice fit in Arizona's 3-4 defense which they are trying to model after the Stillers. He's a beast and finally a LB gets some love in the draft.
Picture

A.J. Green - WR - Georgia

Green is ranked as the #1 prospect on some teams' boards and the Browns may just be one of those teams. Here, the best player available fits one of the Browns' biggest needs. I really think they go WR here no matter what now...I was torn between DE and WR a week ago, but now I'm all-in for a WR.
Picture

Prince Amukamara - CB - Nebraska

This is probably too high for the Prince, but need trumps all for the 49ers. Some of the other best available defensive players don't fit SF's 3-4 defense so they go with the CB instead.
Picture

Robert Quinn - DE - North Carolina

Is Robert Quinn the next Javon Kearse for the Tennessee Titans? We'll find out soon! I know most people will have Nick Fairley going here, but he seems really immature to me and I see him becoming Andre Smith from a couple years ago who hasn't sniffed the field for the Bengals.
Picture

Tyron Smith - OT - USC

I think this is the most common pick in every single mock draft out there right now. It's hard to believe the Cowboys are drafting this high and with only a handful of needs they fill a short-term and potentially long-term one here with Smith.
Picture

Julio Jones - WR - Oklahoma

The Redskins may try trading down here, but the only problem is they need to find a partner. If they can't I see them going with Jones who is a WR who can finally help the Redskins mediocre passing game. I know Shanahan rolled the dice on Jay Cutler a few years back, but he'll try for a QB in round 2.
Picture

Aldon Smith - DE/OLB - Missouri

With Prince Amukamara going to the Niners the Texans shift from DB to OLB and take a hybrid guy to rush the passer in their new 3-4 defense.
Picture

Nick Fairley - DT - Auburn

The Williams wall is getting older and Pat may not return in 2011. Fairley can fill that BIG hole quickly and be a force this season. I was a big fan of Fairley as recently as last week, but after watching a few interviews with him I'm just not sold that he loves football as much as he will love $$$ and food.
Picture

Da'Quan Bowers - DE - Clemson

Bowers drops drastically due to lingering concerns about his knee but the fall stops in Detroit. If he's healthy, they get a steal here and Bowers next to Suh on the D-line is going to be scary!
Picture

Cameron Jordan - DE - Cal

This pick is going to come down to Cam Jordan, J.J. Watt or Ryan Kerrigan. No one knows who they like better so I'm gonna go with Jordan who can be similar to Justin Tuck who Spags had with the Giants.
Picture

Jake Locker - QB - Washington

I had Ryan Mallett here just a few days ago, but I think the Dolphins will put more stock in character and work ethic as opposed to a big arm. I don't think Locker is going to be very good in the NFL, but that's just me.
Picture

Akeem Ayers - LB - UCLA

Another shocker...but Jacksonville rolled the dice last year and hit with Tyson Alualu. This year it's another Pac-10 player in Ayers.
Picture

Mark Ingram - RB - Alabama

The rich get richer as the Pats get the best RB in the draft. I see Ingram as a new, improved version of Emmitt Smith but minus the great Cowboys OL. He may not be lightning fast but he runs hard, has great vision and loves the game.
Picture

Phil Taylor - DT - Baylor

This may be a bit of a stretch here, but a team can't run a successful 3-4 defense without a solid nose tackle. Taylor is hands down the best NT in the draft.
Picture

Anthony Castonzo - OT -  BC

Castonzo is a solid all-around tackle who'll start on Opening Day for the Giants somewhere on the line. He'll bring depth and toughness to the Giants which they've been lacking.
Picture

Ryan Kerrigan - DE - Purdue

Kerrigan is a wild card for me. He could go as high as 12 or fall out of the first round. I think he ends up in Tampa next to last year's #3 overall pick Gerald McCoy.
Picture

Mike Pouncey - C/G - Florida

Pouncey can play a number of positions on the OL and he's the kind of player Scott Pioli will love.
Picture

Nate Solder - OT - Colorado

I still have Solder as my top tackle for long-term potential in the draft. A ginormous human being with good feet is a good combination for a LT. He's a good pass-blocker who'll fit nicely with the Colts.
Picture

Jimmy Smith - CB - Colorado

Smith has some character concerns or else he may have gone higher than this. The Eagles can't afford to pass on his talent here and therefore he's their man.
Picture

Aaron Williams - CB - Texas

The Saints take Williams here who can either play CB or move in to Safety to take over for Darren Sharper eventually.
Picture

Ryan Mallett - QB - Arkansas

I went about four different ways before plugging Mallett in here for Pete Carroll and the Seahawks. If Seattle brings back Hasselbeck for a year Mallett can sit for a year or two before taking over the reigns for the 'Hawks.
Picture

J.J. Watt - DE - Wisconsin

The Ravens need to get younger on the D-line and Watt can step in and play as a 3-4 DE right away and give them versatility which is crucial for the Ravens.
Picture

Adrian Clayborn - DE - Iowa

Clayborn got double teamed a lot at Iowa so his numbers weren't impressive this year but he'll be solid in the NFL with the right defense. He can play DE opposite John Abraham and learn from one of the best. Plus, he's an effort guy which coach Mike Smith will love.
Picture

Gabe Carimi - OT - Wisconsin

Are you kidding me...the Pats luck out and despite fielding some trade offers here of teams looking to trade up for a QB, they get a rock-solid player in Carimi who can also play almost anywhere along the O-line.
Picture

Corey Liuget - DT - Illinois

The Bears go with Liuget from just down the road at Illinois. He'll try to replace Tommie Harris who was shown the door before the lockout.
Picture

Cameron Heyward - DE - Ohio State

Will the Jets try to replace a bust from Ohio State with another Buckeye? This is a new regime with new coaches so I say yes.
Picture

Muhammed Wilkerson - DT - Temple

Wilkerson is a little bigger than a typical 5-technique in a 3-4 defense but he had great numbers last season, gives 100% all the time, and has great upside.
Picture

Marvin Austin - DT - North Carolina

The Packers could go a bunch of ways with this pick, but they take a very talented DT who could have been a top-15 pick had he played this year. If you didn't see him at the combine or his pro day you missed out. Seeing a 300+ pound guy run and move like him is scary!
