Andrew Luck - QB - Stanford

Even if Manning comes back on a reduced, short-term deal Luck is the pick here.
Picture

Matt Kalil - LT - USC

Jeff Fisher doesn't care that the previous regime drafted two underperforming tackles near the top of past drafts and will take a quality LT to keep Bradford and his $50 million off the turf.
Picture

Justin Blackmon - WR - Oklahoma St.

The Vikings haven't been the same on offense without a #1 receiver like Randy Moss or Sidney Rice. Blackmon looks to fill those shoes.
Picture

Robert Griffin III - QB - Baylor

The Browns need to reenergize the franchise and fan base and the dynamic RGIII is just the man to do so. Whether they need to trade up to do it is TBD - I think they will and ultimately will give up both firsts, a third rounder in 2013 and a fourth rounder in 2012.
Picture

Morris Claiborne - CB - LSU

Greg Schiano is a defensive coach and he's going to want to go defense with his first pick in the NFL. Claiborne will contribute immediately and take over for Ronde Barber.
Picture

Ryan Tannehill - QB - Arkansas

I think Washington is going to sign Matt Flynn, Kyle Orton or maybe even Peyton Manning in free agency, but until then, I think they take the #3 QB in the draft and get Tannehill here.
Picture

Michael Floyd - WR - Notre Dame

Think this is too high - no way. He was productive at Notre Dame, is big and fast and catches a ton of balls. The Jags desperately need help on offense and Floyd will help create more room for MJD. (PS - If you read my blog you'll know I think the Jags are a darkhorse for Peyton Manning.)
Picture

Trent Richardson - RB - Alabama

I think the Dolphins are also a candidate to get a QB in free agency and their new head coach is an offensive guy, so he's going to want to go offense in round one. Richardson is the best player on the board and no one really believes Reggie Bush is a #1 RB.
Picture

Dontari Poe - DT - Memphis

Poe is this year's version of Phil Taylor whom the Browns picked in the middle of the first round. He dominated the Senior Bowl, had an outstanding combine and is a bit of an underachiever. The Panthers need D-Line help badly and this is one LARGE piece of that puzzle.
Picture

Quinton Coples - DE - North Carolina

Big, strong, fast, looks like a beast...but plays like a girl. The Bills will take Coples and hope a little fatter wallet motivates him to play hard all the time unlike when he was at UNC.
Picture

Melvin Ingram - DE/LB - South Carolina

Romeo Crennel will look for playmakers on defense and Ingram can be that guy. He can play OLB in the Chiefs' 3-4 and help their pass russ from day one.
Picture

Luke Kuechly - LB - Boston College

I watched Keuchly at the combine and I don't think he'd be able to cover me in pass defense, but he was a beast against the run in college. I think he's a tiny bit overrated (I want to see a mean streak from my MLB) but he's a solid fit and pick here. Eagles fans are pissed right now!
Picture

Cordy Glenn - T - Georgia

A lot of people think Glenn will play guard in the NFL but he is huge, has long arms, moves well and played tackle very well at Georgia. He moves up the draft boards (past Riley Reiff from Iowa) and lands in Arizona.
Picture

Mark Barron - S - Alabama

I belive Jerruh Jones will throw a boatload of cash at a free agent CB so they'll look to fill another big need at Safety with the top safety in the draft.
Picture

Fletcher Cox - DT - Mississippi State

Eagles fans are booing as they know they need a MLB but the team opts for the D-line instead. Cox is big, quick and athletic and fills a need for the Eagles...especially if they play their wide defensive ends again in 2012.
Picture

Courtney Upshaw - LB - Alabama

It looks like Bart Scott is leaving and the Jets linebackers have been less than impressive under Rex Ryan. He'll help the defense get pressure on opposing QBs.
Picture

Michael Brockers - DT - LSU

Brockers is a big space-eater on the D-line with a lot of upside. He wasn't overly productive at LSU but he's a risk the Bengals will take.
Picture

Riley Reiff - T - Iowa

This may sound crazy, but Reiff had really short arms at the combine (like former Iowa "can't miss" tackle Robert Gallery) and he falls to here because of that concern.
Picture

Zach Brown - LB - North Carolina

This is a guy I think is over-hyped due to his athleticism and "upside." He is soft and looks like that guy who jumps on the top of piles to pad hit stats.
Picture

Kendall Wright - WR - Baylor

Wright didn't have a great combine by running a pedestrian 4.6 in the 40-yard dash. I've said it before, there's a difference before 40 speed and game speed and Wright has a different gear in the games.
Picture

Lamar Miller - RB - Miami

People didn't hear much about Miller when he was at Miami but he's an athlete who can catch the ball and runs hard. He takes over for Cedric Benson who's almost at the end of the line in the NFL.
Picture

Whitney Mercilus - DE - Illinois

I don't love this pick but the Browns desperately need another defensive end and Mercilus has potential and athleticism which the Browns can use.
Picture

Jonathan Martin - T - Stanford

Some people feel Martin is a top ten pick...not in my world. Is he solid, yes, but I think this is about right for him and I almost penciled him in for the Browns one pick earlier to play RT.
Picture

Dre Kirkpatrick - CB - Alabama

This isn't the typical Steelers pick, but their defensive backs got torched last season and Kirkpatrick is tall and goes up after the ball which are huge bonuses for a corner in the NFL.
Picture

Devon Still - DT - Penn State

Still didn't dominate in college like he should have, but he is an immediate upgrade on the defense for the Broncos. PS - not related but I'd put money on it Denver signs Vince Young to back up Tebow this year. He can run the same offense as Tebow and is a plug and play guy for that offense.
Picture

David DeCastro - G - Stanford

DeCastro falls a little even though many peg him to be one of the best talents in the draft. The beneficiary - Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and the Texans.
Picture

Janoris Jenkins - CB - North Alabama

The number one need for the Patriots is defense. This is a toss up between a CB or someone who can rush the passer, but CB wins out this time.
Picture

Alameda Ta'amu - DT - Washington

Ta'amu is a huge nose tackle prospect with a high motor and another guy who dominated the Senior Bowl. He's a 3-4 guy and Green Bay finds a gem here.
Picture

Dont'a Hightower - LB - Alabama

Hightower was productive in college I just get the vibe he takes quite a few plays off. That's not acceptable for the Ravens so if they can get him into shape he'll be a good fit here.
Picture

Alshon Jeffery - WR - South Carolina

Jeffery was a beast in college two years ago but dropped off last year due to shaky QB play. He catches everything and is a big guy who can out jump and out work defensive backs to come down with the ball.
Picture

Harrison Smith - S - Notre Dame

Two Notre Dame players in the first round!? Yep, barely, but it's true. Smith looked much more fluid and athletic than the other safeties at the combine and has production in college to back it up.
Picture

Coby Fleener - TE - Stanford

When you lose your top two tight ends in the Super Bowl with torn knee ligaments it leaves a slight hole. The Giants get the best TE in the draft and give Eli Manning another target on offense.
