Luke Joeckel - LT - Texas A&M

Of all the years to have the #1 overall pick, the Chiefs are stuck with it in 2013 where there is no clear-cut #1 choice. They go safe with Joekel to protect new QB Alex Smith.
Picture

Dion Jordan - DE/LB - Oregon

New defensive-minded head coach Gus Bradley picks a fast athletic defensive player in his first draft in an effort to duplicate the defense he ran with the Seahawks.
Picture

***TRADE w/ Oakland***
Eric Fisher - LT - Central Michigan

SURPRISE...the Cardinals desperately need a LT and like Fisher better than Lane Johnson whom many experts believe they are targeting. The Raiders don't have a second round pick so they bail out of this pick to pick up more picks in this draft.
Picture

Shariff Floyd - DT - Florida

New HC Chip Kelly wants to get bigger and faster. That's a combination Floyd has and will fit on the D-line for the Eagles.
Picture

Ziggy Ansah - DE/LB - BYU

The Lions were banking on Eric Fisher falling to them here but the Cardinals shock the NFL by moving up to get him. The Lions think about Lane Johnson here, but opt for the upside of Ansah who they coached in the Senior Bowl.

***TRADE w/ Cleveland***
Lane Johnson - LT - Oklahoma

Many people are predicting this, but I think if Arizona doesn't jump up like I predict above, I think they swap places with the Browns here. Instead, the Dolphins, with two 2nd round picks, make the move up here to get their replacement for Jake Long.
Picture

***TRADE w/ Arizona***
Star Lotulelei - DT - Utah

The Raiders D-line is probably worse than most D-I college football programs so they need an upgrade. Star was being considered as the #1 overall pick before the combine and his health scare, and he lands in Oakland at #7.
Picture

Tavon Austin - WR - West Virginia

My curveball in Mock #1 had Austin going to AZ at #7 but now he lands with the Bills. Other than Stevie Johnson the Bills don't have much in the way of WR's so they add a lightning fast, dynamic playmaker in Austin to help their new QB and head coach.
Picture

Dee Milliner - CB - Alabama

The Jets look like they're shipping out Darrelle Revis and if so, they'll need a replacement. They luck out and Milliner lands in their lap here at #9.
Picture

Sheldon Richardson - DT - Missouri

The Titans were really hoping Star Lotulelei or Shariff Floyd fell to them here, but they take Richardson to shore up the middle of the D-Line.
Picture

Chance Warmack - G - Alabama

Phillip Rivers can't stay healthy because he gets hit so frequently and they need someone to open up some holes for Ryan Matthews so they take the best OL on the board in Warmack.
Picture

***TRADE w/ Miami***
Kenny Vaccaro - S - Texas

The Browns need quite a bit of help in their defensive backfield and they move down a few spots, pick up a second round pick and end up with the top Safety in the draft in Kenny Vaccaro. Love this move it it happens!
Picture

***TRADE w/ Buccaneers***
Cordarrelle Patterson - WR - Tenn

The Jets finally pull the trigger on the Darrelle Revis trade and pick up this pick. They turn around and take a WR to help Mark Sanchez on offense. When Santonio Holmes was hurt last season the offense went dormant because of no backup plan.
Picture

Xavier Rhodes - CB - Florida State

EVERY mock draft assumes Carolina goes D-line here, but the top three DT are off the board so they go with a CB here to fill the gap left by Chris Gamble's retirement.
Picture

Barkevious Mingo - DE/LB - LSU

With the Saints transitioning to a 3-4 they'll need pass-rushing OLB's. They hit a double whammy here not only filling that need but also drafting an LSU player from just up the road from New Orleans.
Picture

Jonathan Cooper - G - North Carolina

The Rams were probably hoping Tavon Austin would last until this pick, but that ship sailed at #8. Instead they take a dominant Guard who can step in and help shore up a suspect middle of their O-line.
Picture

Bjoern Werner - DE - Florida State

Possibly my favorite player in the draft...Bjoern Werner. He's a bit of a 3-4/4-3 tweener but the Steelers take football players and find a way to get them on the field. They'll do the same with Werner who I see as a J.J. Watt kind of player in a year or two.
Picture

Sylvester Williams - DT - N. Carolina

New DC Monte Kiffin needs penetrating DT's for his Tampa 2 defense and Williams is athletic and quick so he's the choice here for Big D.
Picture

Desmond Trufant - CB - Washington

The Giants don't draft for need and they are a team I can see someone wanting to trade with in order to pick the first QB this year. If they stay here they take the best player on their board in Trufant who will either start immediately or play nickel CB for a year.
Picture

Alec Ogletree - MLB - Georgia

Despite a couple off-field incidents for Ogletree in the past, he's a tough LB and the Bears desperately need to get younger at that position for the future. He's no Urlacher, but he'll have to fill that role for now.
Picture

DJ Fluker - T - Alabama

If the Bengals end up re-signing Andrew Smith then this pick will change, but for now they draft to fill a giant hole (literally and figuratively) on the right side of their O-line.
Picture

Justin Hunter - WR - Tennessee

The Rams go with a bit of a stretch here in Hunter, but they desperately need WR help so they turn to Hunter hoping he can be the answer.
Picture

Mantei Teo - LB - Notre Dame

The Mantei Teo drama ends up not hurting his draft stock as he lands in Minnesota where he'll be out of the spotlight and can focus on playing football.
Picture

Keenan Allen - WR - California

Reggie Wayne can't play forever and with a QB like Andrew Luck you need to surround him with young talent which is what the Colts do here. The other guy I think they look at is RB Eddie Lacy from Alabama.
Picture

Eric Reid - S - LSU

The Vikings are tempted here to stop the free fall of Geno Smith, but instead take a safety to help their defense who faces Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford and Jay Cutler twice a year.
Picture

***TRADE w/ Green Bay***
Geno Smith - QB - West Virginia

The slide of 2013 finally ends here. After all the talk about QB's in this draft...the first one comes off the board to the Jaguars who trade their 2nd and 4th round picks (or a 1st rounder next year) to the Packers to take Geno Smith.
Picture

Jarvis Jones - LB - Georgia

Jones may not have blown people away with his workout numbers, but when you watch him on the field he is head and shoulders better and faster than those around him. Jones is my favorite defender in the draft, along with Bjoern Werner, and the Texans get a steal here even though they come really close to drafting a WR.
Picture

Jonathan Cyprien - S - Florida Int'l

A wise man once said, "Don't get beat deep!" Broncos defensive backs didn't get that message in the playoffs and ended up losing to the Ravens. They try to fix that problem taking Cyprien here.
Picture

Robert Woods - WR - USC

The Patriots lost or cut most of the WR corps after the season and haven't replaced all of them yet with the exception of Danny Amendola. Come draft day it'll continue with the addition of Woods.
Picture

Tyler Eifert - TE - Notre Dame

The streak of no first round TE's ends here. Tony Gonzalez has half-retired several times now, and eventually he'll hang them up for good. This will give the Falcons a year to pair them together and make a dynamic offense even more dangerous.
Picture

Jamar Taylor - CB - Boise State

The Niners play in the NFC with some potent pass offenses like the Packers, Giants and now the NFL West. They add to their backfield with Taylor who can help with depth and possibly as a nickel or dime CB.
Picture

Arthur Brown - LB - Kansas State

While he's not going to be expected to fill the hole left by Ray Lewis, Brown will be a projected starter as an ILB for the defending Super Bowl champs.
